Hmmm...its a great remix indeed, but the best in years? Not sure. There was the excellent Chicane remix, and Emma Hewitt, and lately the Hannah remix is growing on me a lot. And the superb Not Going Home. Armin did good remixes in recent years. The only one that didn't impresse me all was the Every Other Way remix which other than the melodic parts, sounded like a bad house/trouse track.

Agree except for the horrible Every Other Way remix. Armin and Benno killed the song with that remix imo.

Nova Zembla Remix blows every single one of Armin's remix attempts of 2011 out of the atmosphere and comes close to the brilliance of Not Going Home if you ask me. I would say it fits right in with the rest of his solid to great 2010 remixes. Personally I think it surpasses Every Other Way / Begging You but then again, for me moody Trancers with Miller-ish tech leads eclipse vocal tracks nearly anytime :thumbsup: That said, EOW & BY are still very nice remixes by Armin imo.

Too trousy/noisy/housy or whatever for me. The melodic parts are great but they are too few and far between.

Considering the amount of hate for these genres in these forums I'm shocked by the amount of love this remix gets.

+99 The track has absolutely nothing Trousy about it. It keeps surprising me how people use Trouse to cover EVERYTHING that isn't 138 BPM or "melodic Trance(y)" :rolleyes:

Trouse in its core essence is SHM - One style. Every Other Way has NOTHING comparable to SHM in it imo.

Now this is something I can agree on: that sound you are talking about is indeed typical for Techtrance of recent years. If you find it noisy, fair enough, but I firmly believe that sound has nothing to do with Trouse (which I take to have originated in 2010 anyway; that Armin Remix is from late summer 2009) :thumbsup:
